Why wood is good?
At the dawn of human history, the forest was used as human food source, warmth, clothing, medicines, building materials and much more. And over the past century, our needs in wood only increased! Production of ships and aircrafts, construction materials, paper, furniture, chemical industries — and that`s not a complete list where wood is required! Even the air we breathe and water we drink we get thanks to the forest.
To this date lumber remains the only resource that is naturally restored and recycled. Moreover forest is one of the main reservoirs of carbon on Earth and serves home to many animal species. Currently forest struggles with industrial pollution absorbing dust and hydrocarbons.
Current active role of lumber industry is not only in cutting, but also in tree planting in order to keep forests alive and abundant. Thats why development of forestry is one of our primary goals!
Benefits of timber:
Wide range of applications
Today, there is no single industry that`s not using wood some way or another. A huge variety of building materials (board, lumber, wood panels, plywood, etc.), paper industry, furniture manufacturing, ship building and much, much more. Scientists are actively developing technologies for alternative fuels based on biomasses.
Lumber can be easily treated, have good quality of saving heat, has a low production and transportation cost. Lumber product service life has increased significantly thanks to modern technology. And lumber can be easily recycled with minimal cost and consequences — that is a new major fact to be considered.
Please always remember that lumber is a renewable and recyclable resource. Technologies` development of timber extraction and lumber processing currently provides maximum usable materials from each tree. Wooden houses provide a healthy climate, provide a feeling of comfort and coziness, which has a positive impact not only on the physical but also the psychological health.
